Surprice Italy Rental Terms for travel between 01-Feb-2019 and 31-Dec-2024
General Rental Information
The mentioned car types are indicative only. Car model with the same standards will be provided.
The renter must hold a valid European or International Driving License, issued at least one year before the rental.
The car will not be provided to renters, without a valid European or International Driving License.
Rates are calculated based on the collection/return to the same rental location.
Rental days are calculated on a 24-Hour basis from the vehicle’s pick-up time.
There is a gross period of two (2) hours at the drop off time.
Over two (2) hours delayed renter will be charged an additional day’s rate.
Any additional charge for extra equipment will be paid locally.
Partially used vouchers are not refundable without our previous confirmation.
Service will not be provided for any unconfirmed reservation.
When collecting a car from our car rental supplier the principal driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license in their name
An international driving license will be required if the driving license had not been issued in Roman Alphabet.
An international driving license will be required for drivers not belonging to the European Union
The minimum age for renters on all car categories is 25 years old.
The maximum renter’s age for all car categories is 75 years old.
From 18 years and over till 25 old drivers must purchase an extra insurance.
The price for young driver is:
From 18-year-old to 20-year-old the fee is 15 Euro per day (VAT included)
From 21-year-old to 24-year-old and over 75-year-old the fee is 8 Euro per day (VAT included).
Minimum rental is one (1) day.
All cancellations must be sent at email@example.com and confirmation of any cancelled bookings will return.
All amendments must be sent at firstname.lastname@example.org and confirmation must be returned.

Conditions Of Payment
A Credit Card at the driver’s name is always required.
Renter must hold his car rental voucher and provide it at the pickup time.
At the provided credit card will apply all the extra charges.

General Insurance Conditions
Underneath the car insurance is not included.
- Civil Responsibility (RCA)
This covers the driver's responsibility in case of damage to third parties or persons provided for by the insurance policy. It does not cover accidents suffered by the driver or damage to the rented car. The coverage is valid only when the conditions of the rental contract are respected.
- Limitation of Liability for Damages (CDW)
If the bodywork of the car is damaged during the rental, the maximum amount to be paid for repairs under the policy CDW will be equivalent to the excess for damages. This coverage is valid only if you comply with the terms of the rental agreement.
- Theft Protection (TP)
In case of car theft, the maximum amount to be paid for replacement will be equivalent to the deductible for theft. The coverage is valid only when the conditions of the rental contract are respected.
Theft insurance of the car is already included in our offer.
At the pickup, the rental agency will request a security deposit starting from 1200 Euro. The deposit will be returned at the end of the rental, provided that all conditions have been met.
The car has a deductible in case of damage from 1200 Euro (VAT included).
The car has a deductible in case of theft from 1500 Euro (VAT included).
Due to the fluctuation of exchange rates and other bank charges, the car rental company is not responsible for any differences between the amount paid and the amount repaid.
Items in the car are not insured.
In case of any damage for theft reasons, the insurance does not cover the renter.
Fire insurance is not included in our offer.
Third party’s liability is included in our offer.
Personal accident insurance is not included in our offer.
Full Damage Waiver with deductible excess, depending on the car category, can be offered.
Renter may reduce the excess to zero (0) by paying an extra charge per day.
Even during the purchase of the extra insurance, a deposit will still be preauthorized, for uninsured parts on the vehicle, traffic fines or any other charges that may occur during and after the rental period.

Second driver insurance, may apply with an extra charge of 8 euro per day until a maximum of 65€ - VAT included.
There is no maximum number of additional drivers allowed per rental. Same conditions apply as per main driver.
Under the body and roof of the car are not covered by insurance.
Mechanic and electronic components of the car are not covered by insurance.
Glasses and mirrors are not covered by the insurance.
Tires and wheels are not covered by the insurance.
Police reports are mandatory in case of accident or damage, so as the renter to be covered by the insurance company.
If the renter will not report the damage on time will not be covered by the insurance.
The renter is not covered by any Full Damage Waiver Insurance caused by alcohol, drugs or transportation of illegal materials.

The coverage is valid only when the conditions of the rental contract are respected.
Super Damage Cover (SCDW)
- Reduces the driver's responsibility in the event of damage to the car. Limits the driver's legal obligations towards the payment of repair or replacement costs of the car, subject to the terms of the rental contract.
Instead of the total cost, the driver will usually be responsible only for the first fraction, called "deductible" which in many cases will be zero, which means that the driver's responsibility is reduced completely.
This protection is applied to all authorized drivers.

Out of Hours
Out of hours deliveries or collections from 20.31 till 08.29 will apply with an extra charge of 50 Euro to be paid locally (VAT Included).
Contact us if you want to collect or return the car at a time when the front office is closed (for example if you have changed programs or if you are late). You cannot do it online, because we must check that the car rental company can send someone to wait for you.
If the renter will not appear within 2 hours after the confirmed pick up time and does not inform through phone any delay, Surprice Car Rentals has the right to declare NoShow and not provide any car in case of show up later.
The rental company reserves the right to refuse the delivery of the car to the customers who do not arrive at the established time with the necessary documentation and the credit card with enough funds to cover the deposit.
Condition of Vehicle
Vehicle must be returned, normal wear and tear expected in the same condition as when rented.
In case that the renter is not satisfied with the car, the station needs to be informed immediately for its replacement
A loss of keys fee applies in the amount of the price of the official car dealer and the cost of the delivery.
Excessive staining or internal damage will be charged for at the supplier’s valet rates. It is renter’s responsibility to check the vehicle thoroughly at pickup/collection.
The car shall return with the same fuel as rented at the pickup time, otherwise a refueling charge will be applied.
All the cars will be provided with full tank and should return it with the same amount of fuel. Any unused fuel is not refundable.

Other options & fees
Please note that charges made at the location for any extras or fees will be a subject to any applicable sales taxes and location taxes/fees.
You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The supplier or Surprice Cars will pass the relevant charges on to you + any administrative expenses.
The Car Rental Company will charge if key(s) are lost or badly damaged from 250 to 800 Euro – VAT Included.

Important information about the rental company
- Accidents or breakdowns
In the event of faults, mechanical problems or accidents, you will need to immediately call the rental company, which will have to give permission to repair
or replace the car. Please keep copies of the completed documents, which may be required in case you need to make a claim. For incidents, you will also need a police report and a report from the rental company.
- Roadside Assistance is included in the rates.
In case of customers negligence (loss of key, error fuel, finish of fuel, change tires) an extra fee may apply of 150 Euro plus 1.5 Euro per km.
- Price calculation
Prices are based on the agreed collection and return times before the start of the rental. In case of postponed withdrawal or early delivery, there will be no refunds.

In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable.
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
